Although New York University was founded in 1831, it wasn’t until 1934 that the School of Professional Studies was established. This school is focused on the adult student, with the median age being 35. It offers undergraduate, graduate, and certificate courses across a span of industry-related disciplines.
My freshman year at NYU’s School of Professional Studies started in January, 2009. I managed to complete the four-year B.S. in Information Systems Management in three years because I made use of every available option for credit recognition: CLEP exams, foreign language proficiency, and related work experience. This significantly reduced the time and tuition costs.
I was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society on April 15, 2011 and graduated cum laude – 3.8 GPA – on May 17, 2012.
